Pirate Face Painting Tutorial




Step 1: Use a chisel brush to put black face paint around one eye to create the patch. Use a medium brush to outline in black face paint.  Use white face paint and a small brush to highlight the patch.
Step 2: Make a line with a small brush and black face paint to connect the eye patch.  Add black moustache on the upper lip and a goatee on the chin with a medium brush. 
Step 3: Add white face paint to make skull on the cheek. Create two circles to create the skull. Then create the crossbones with white face paint (two circles and a line).  Outline the crossbones and skull with the small brush in black face paint.  Highlight the patch with white face paint.

Pirate Face Painting Instruction




General Tips: Apply the lighter face paint colors before starting on the darker colors.

How to Use a Face Paint Brush: To load face paint on the brush: dip the brush into a bowl of water and mix it into the face paint to pick up the face paint. Apply the face paint brush in smooth even strokes.

How to Use a Face Paint Sponge: To load face paint onto the sponge: add water to the face paint sponge and dip into the face paint. Make sure that the face paint has a creamy consistency. Remember to try to use the minimum amount of water. First smear the face paint on then dab the face paint with the sponge to get an even opaque coverage.

Leopard Face Painting Tutorial



Step 1: Using a chisel brush and yellow face paint, and create the ears and then outline the entire face; use a sponge to fill in the yellow face paint leaving space around the eyes..
Step 2: Use a brush and put orange face paint in the middle of the face to add dimension.
Step 3: Take a medium brush and apply white face on the eyelids, and over the eyes including the eyebrows. Add white face paint above the top lip with the chisel brush to create a muzzle.
Step 4: Add black face paint to the nose with a medium brush. Add dots and lines around the muzzle and add whiskers.

Step 2: Take a fine brush and using black face paint create a line from top of the mouth and the side of the lips. Also outline the nostrils in black face paint.

Zebra Face Paint Kits w/ Snazaroo Face Paint

Step 1: Load white face paint on chisel brush and make zebra ears above the eyebrows, then create the outline of a zebra over the rest of the face and fill in using a sponge with white except for chin and upper lip.
Step 2: Use a fine brush and black face paint for the mane in the center of the forehead and put black face paint on the upper lip and chin. Blend it in on the side a little bit.
Step 3: Use a medium brush and black face paint to create stripes with a variety of triangles from the outside of the mask. Add stripes above and on the ridge of the nose. Add black face paint stripes above the eyebrows. Paint the eyes with black as if it were eye liner.
Step 4: Use a fine brush to outline the muzzle with black face paint, add a little highlighting with white face paint. Add opal glitter for effect.
